Welcome to the 2012 – 2013 school year. We are very excited to extend this invitation to join the PTO and it’s our hope that you will help us develop a Partnership for Success at B. Gale Wilson.
The membership dues are only $15 per family per school year and a portion is given directly to the children’s teachers. Any additional contributions will be distributed between the teacher and the PTO and is tax deductible.
The membership funds are used for facility improvements such as playground equipment and additions to the school grounds, sponsoring PTO events such as Special Assemblies, Staff Appreciation Week and the Book Fair, and assisting teachers in need of additional funds to supplement their classroom budget for classroom resources and supplies.
As a member, you are not required to attend meetings and/or volunteer. However, as a volunteer-driven organization, we are always seeking and are in need of assistance with projects. Also, as a member, you have a voting right when you attend the meetings. This organization belongs to you, your children and the teachers. Together we can give them the school experience memories are made of!
