We are in the running for a $2500 grant!
I am so excited. Umpqua bank is holding a Facebook contest to give 5 schools and 5 non profit groups each $2500. Today they chose 10 finalist from each group and B. Gale Wilson made it! Now I really need your help. The winner will be picked based on the amount of votes our photo submission receives. You can vote once every 24 hours. Please post this on your Facebook page, your parents Facebook page, your friends Facebook page, or anywhere else you think it could help. Follow the link to vote and then share, share, share. Then if you don’t mind do it all again tomorrow. It’s quick and easy and just may help us score $2500.
* Our photo will say B. Gale Wilson but to find it easy you can look for the bike rodeo photo.
The PTO Newsletter is here!
Click here to view the online newsletter. Each event link will take you to the event page where you can get all the details. A print copy of the newsletter should be coming home this week as well. We have many exciting events coming in the next few months. We will need volunteer help in order to make the events successful.
May is going to be a busy month at B. Gale Wilson. Volunteers are needed for Staff Appreciation Week, Book Fair, Vamos, and Bike Rodeo.
Thank you all for your support. If you have any questions feel free to contact Anna Peregoy at bgalewilsonpto@gmail.com.

Book Fair (buy one, get one) May 13-15th. This was almost cancelled already due to a scheduling issue. I know how much the children enjoy the buy one get one fair so I pushed to keep it. We will also need a few volunteers Friday the 10th for set up 1-4 and Thursday the 14th for clean up 830-1030.

FSUSD proposed plan for school changes.
The following was posted on the FSUSD facebook page.
The district is considering changing some of our elementary schools into K-8 schools, changing the grades levels at B. Gale Wilson and Suisun Valley Schools, and adjusting the boundaries for Armijo and Fairfield High Schools.
The Governing Board would like to hear your comments and get your input on these very important issues that will affect students and families in our community.
We encourage all parents and interested community members to attend a special meeting on November 13 at 5:00 p.m. at the Central Office, 2490 Hilborn Road in Fairfield.
You can find more information on our website at www.fsusd.org
Stop! Dont throw that way. Its money.
Our school has begun collecting empty drink pouches. The Capri Sun style foil ones. They also make Kool-Aid and a few others in that same style pouch. We have collection bins in the lunch room, near Mrs. Ix’s room, and soon in the kinder classes. The drink pouches will be sent in to Terra Cycle for recycling into cool new products. Even better they send the school a check that will be applied to 6th grade camp fees.
A big thank-you to Mrs. Ix for bringing this program to our school.
