For all of our DI parents, check out the attached file to find out how you can help us celebrate Dia De Los Muertos. I will be posting at the school as well so be sure to let us know if you can help. Let’s make this event a success!
We have so much Spirit it’s spooky.
B. Gale Wilson is happy to be part of Spirit for Schools this year. Spirit Halloween store is helping to support K-8 education and offering a coupon at the same time. So go ahead, print your coupon, support your school, and get your spooky on.
What Spirit has to say….
What is Spirit for Schools?
Spirit for Schools is an innovative way for communities to raise money for their schools, while experiencing the fun of shopping for Halloween. It’s better than any bake sale, it’s fun, and it’s FREE! The goal of the program is to support K-8 public schools in our communities and allow them to raise funds for programs, equipment and supplies that enhance educational experiences and/or social growth for students. We are accepting the first 75 qualifying organizations, giving them the opportunity to raise up to $5,000 for their school!
How does it work?
Shop in-store or online through October 21, 2012 and save 10% on your purchase and earn 10% for your school. Enrollment begins Monday, August 27, 2012. Enroll your organization online and receive a customized coupon which contains a unique identifier automatically linking all purchases back to your school for the 2012 school year. Only one organization per school is eligible to enroll. It is up to the enrolled organization to distribute their coupon however they deem appropriate. An organization may raise up to $5,000 for their school. Coupons cannot be combined with any other promotional offer nor can it be applied to previous purchases, taxes, or shipping.

August meeting minutes have been posted.
Sorry for the delay. The August meeting minutes are now posted under the document heading and are available in both English and Spanish.
T Shirt order forms are here!
Show your Wildcat school spirit with one of the new t shirt designs. We will be taking orders until September 14th. The turn around time is roughly 2 weeks from when we place the order.
To order a shirt complete the attached order form. You will need to do a separate form for each shirt requested. Order forms then need to be put in the PTO lock box just inside the office door along with the proper amount of cash for your order. Please put in a sealed envelope to avoid any mix ups.
Box Tops 4 Education
Last year we raised over $1100 just by clipping and collecting Box Tops. This year, our goal is to raise $1500. Here are three easy ways you can help:
Clip — Clip the Box Tops from hundreds of participating products and send them to school. Each one is worth 10¢ when our school redeems them from Box Tops for Education.
Shop online — Shop at your favorite online stores through the Box Tops Marketplace® (boxtops4education.com/marketplace). Our school can earn eBoxTops® with every qualifying purchase you make, at no additional cost to you.
Sign up to support our school at boxtops4education.com, where you can:
• See how much our school is earning with Box Tops
• Enter online promotions for chances to win eBoxTops and other prizes
• Print coupons for your favorite Box Tops brands
You can also sign up for Box Tops email newsletters that will keep you updated on the program, and for Marketplace newsletters that include offers from online retailers where you can earn eBoxTops.
Box Tops will be collected on that last school day of each month. Our first collection day will be August 31st. The class room with the most box tops will receive a special treat. Please glue or tape box tops to a collection sheet like the one attached and send them to class with your child. Additional sheets can be found on our facebook page, website, and in the school office.
To learn more, visit boxtops4education.com. Thanks for choosing to make a difference for our school with Box Tops!
Fundraising with Safeway and Target
We are excited to see that Safeway has decided to continue its e-Script program for another year. e-Script allows us to earn funds for our school just by buying the items on our shopping list. When you buy products with the bus logo August 8th – September 11th and return after September 17th for your receipt code. I will collect the codes and Safeway will give 10% back on those items to our school. If you are already a registered e-Script user you do not need to do anything but shop. Check out the video Safeway made for more information.
Target is also helping schools through facebook. Simply click here (you will need to have a facebook account I believe) and vote for our school weekly through September 8 or when $2.5 million in Target GiftCards® have been awarded, whichever occurs first. Our school school will receive a $25 Target GiftCard for every 25 votes received during the Promotion Period. What a great way to get much needed class supplies for our school.
You scream, I scream…
We all scream for ice cream! B. Gale Wilson will be posting classroom assignments, and your PTO will be there to celebrate. Join us August 13th from 2-3pm so you can find out who your teacher will be and enjoy a tasty treat. This is also a great time to join your school PTO. Applications will be available at the ice cream social. We look forward to seeing you there!
Fall Fundraiser
They say it takes a village to raise a child. Did you know it also takes a village to run our fall fundraiser?
PTO is looking for volunteers to help with the years Fall fundraiser. We will be working with the same vendor as last year and will be selling pizza, cookie dough and more. Volunteers will be needed for Launch Day ( September 26th) to get packets prepared for students, Deadline Day (October 10th) to total orders, and Delivery Day (early November) to prepare orders for pickup. Delivery Day will need the most volunteers to make this run as smooth as possible.
Here is additional information about the different days to sign up for. You can sign up for one day, or all three.
Launch Day – We will be preparing packages to deliver to the classrooms.
Deadline Day- We will meet in the library to total the orders and money.
Delivery Day- Orders will be delivered to the school and will need to be separated to be picked up. This day is generally organized chaos no matter how well staffed we are. There will be a lot of work and also a lot of fun to be had.
To sign up for a time slot for one or more of the days, click here to be directed to Sign Up Genius.
